Potter's Wheel Church Missionary Outreach

"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"     Romans 10:15

Potter's Wheel Bible Church firmly believes that each local church must be in compliance with the Word of God and have a strong emphasis on missions.

The first money ever donated to the church bought Bibles to be handed out in Russia.  In 1975 the founding families set a goal that 90% of all money handled by Potter's Wheel would be for missions.  This has been accomplished each year since with one exception.  That particular year a new roof had to be put on the church building in Zeeland, Michigan.  That year the missions program dropped to 85%.

The early Potter's Wheel had a missionary program which looked like many other Bible based churches.  We partially supported several missionaries around the world.  This part of our program has continued.  We currently have partial support for five missionary families working in various places.

The missions program of Potter's Wheel took on dramatic new adventure several years ago.  Potter's Wheel Bible Church started our own sending agency called Potter's Wheel Division of Missions.

Potter’s Wheel Division of Missions (PWDOM) started at the request of a church missionary family who was focused on sharing the love and grace of Jesus Christ with the world and those who currently stand in opposition to God. They prayerfully made the decision to be “independent” but also knew they needed and desired accountability to the local church.  Thus, the humble beginnings of the Church’s “Division of Missions”.

The intent and purpose of Potter’s Wheel Division of Missions (PWOM) is to  serve missionaries and missions which hold like doctrinal positions who desire their sending agency to be a local church.  The Board of Director’s for the Division of Missions is made up of members of Potter’s Wheel Bible Church.  Each board member is intricately involved in mission activities, support and encouragement.

During the history of PWDOM we have assisted several missions.  Currently we have two different mission stations for whom logistic support, and spiritual leadership are provided.  One is the Centro Biblico de Juan Tomas in the Dominican Republic and the other is the Whitewater Gospel Mission (for the Navajo people)  in Vanderwagen, New Mexico (a foreign mission field  located within the boundaries of our own United States).
