Whitewater Gospel Mission
Although Whitewater Gospel Mission is located
within the boundaries of our own United States, it is a foreign
mission field. It is a mission field that is just as steeped
in sin as any that lies across the ocean.

The Navajo reservation constitutes an area nearly four times as large as the state of Massachusetts and it is larger than ten individual states. This semi desert waste land is unable to support Navajos that struggle to make a living.
The 2000 census reported 298,215 Navajo people living throughout the United States, of which 173,987 were living within the Navajo Nation boundaries. Many still do not speak English.
Due to the culture and the past history of the treatment of the Navajo people, it takes weeks, months and years to earn trust. Trust has to be built person by person. The work is slow but the result is everlasting. It is a real joy to see people move from the darkness of no hope to the light of the hope that is in Jesus Christ.
The future of the Navajo Nation is the children
and it is our responsibility to teach them truth from error. It is our sincere desire to reach as many of these peo
ple as
possible. Pray that Navajo souls will come to know the “one whom to know
is life eternal”.
The mission station of Whitewater Gospel Mission is located at 1603 S. Highway 602 Vanderwagen, New Mexico (just 18.5 miles south of Gallup, New Mexico). Visitors are always welcome! If you are going to be in the area and desire to visit, we will appreciate it if you contact us prior to your visit so we can arrange to have someone show you around.
Prior arrangements can be made by calling the Potter's Wheel Division of Mission's office at 616-392-3690 or by emailing office@pwbc.us. If you would like more information about the mission or its work, please call the Potter's Wheel Division of Mission's number listed above or send an email to office@pwbc.us.
The Whitewater Gospel Mission Field Director is Herbert Francisco (pictured here with his wife Sharon). Due to the many activities, on and off the station, he does not have regular office hours.
